This project came about after my grandmother was diagnosed with Dementia. Of course, we all take photos to try to capture special moments, but in this case it felt even more important.
Every year, my family gathers together to celebrate Christmas. Because we do not know how her condition will develop in the future, I decided to document this evening from my grandmother’s perspective.
For the simple reason that it should serve as a realistic reflection of the evening, the photos were not edited.
In the end, I developed the photos into two photo reels of seven images each. These can be placed in a photo viewer, allowing the evening to be relived through my grandmother’s eyes.
